Malaysia is ready to experiment with GM mosquitoes

Members of organizations to protect the environment in Malaysia have expressed alarm over the government's experiment to use genetically modified mosquitoes to fight dengue.
This kind of fever is transmitted by female mosquitoes, and can cause high fever and even lead to death. Currently, the disease is no effective vaccines and treatments.
Male mosquitoes genetically bred Malaysian government and the British firm, mating with the females will not have to give more offspring, or the offspring will have shorter life cycle. This should help to reduce the mosquito population.
The Malaysian government plans to test how these mosquitoes will adapt to the environment, and the possibility of practical application of this method.
