- OAO "UES FGC" reconstructs the 220 kV substation Isakovo in Chelyabinsk
Branch of OAO "UES FGC" — South Ural backbone electric grids (MES) of the Urals — begins uncomplexed reconstruction of the 220 kV Isakov. Repair work aimed at improving the reliability of power supply of the residential complex and enterprises of Chelyabinsk, including Chelyabinsk Pipe Rolling Plant. Project completion is scheduled for 2014.
As part of the upgrade at a power plant will be replaced by switches 220, 110, 35, 10 kV circuit breakers 110, 220 kV voltage transformers 110 and 220 kV. In addition, the project involves the reconstruction of the fire line. Currently at a power plant laid part of cable trays and put under the new by-pass voltage gas-insulated 110 kV dead tank breaker. It is fully protected from fires and explosions, eco-friendly and has a longer life than its oil counterpart.
The program of JSC "FGC UES" uncomplexed reconstruction (replacement of individual pieces of equipment) aims to extend the life of the object, as well as testing innovative technologies and equipment.
Isakovo substation of 220 kV power supply provides Lenin, the Soviet Kurchatov and Chelyabinsk regions of a total population of over 500 thousand people, as well as the largest enterprise in the city — CTRP.
