An earthquake with magnitude 4.5 occurred near the town of Ravenna in Italy

Earthquake of magnitude 4.5 occurred on Wednesday morning in the Adriatic Sea near the Italian city of Ravenna, located in the region of Emilia-Romagna, where the constant tremors did not stop for more than two weeks.

According to the National Institute of Geophysics and Volcanology, tremor was recorded in 06.08 local time (08.08 MSK), its epicenter was at a depth of 25.6 kilometers.

Earthquake felt as residents of the province of Ravenna, and in the neighboring provinces in the Marche region.

In the Italian Civil Defense has not received reports of casualties or damage.

Seismologists regularly recorded earthquakes in northern Italy, as of 20 May, when the Emilia-Romagna was the first strong earthquake of magnitude 6.0. Nine days later, on May 29, there was another major earthquake, the magnitude of which was 5.8.

As a result of these natural disasters destroyed hundreds of houses, buildings and monuments, mostly church. The total death toll reached 26 people, 400 people were injured and nearly 15,000 Italians were left homeless.
