United Engine Corporation (UEC) is in talks with India to supply 10 engines PS-90A-76 aircraft for airborne early warning (DLRO) based on the Il-76TD.
The representative of the JDC Anastasia Denisova commented on the situation: "the contract has not been signed, discussed prices and terms." JDC has previously supplied India 15 PS-90A-76:
- 12 engines in the IL-76TD
- 3 engine (reserve).
The PS-90A-76 is a modification of the basic version of the PS-90 and is characterized by a maximum thrust — 14,500 kgs. The cost of one engine in 2010 about 110 million rubles., And the cost of major repairs about 48 — 50 million rubles. The engine was developed by the design bureau of "Aircraft Engine" and the production is organized by OJSC "Perm Engine Company".
