JSC Fortum modernizes Chelyabinsk CHP-1

Commissioned new equipment coastal pumping station Chelyabinsk CHP-1. The project was implemented within the framework of a comprehensive modernization program of one of the oldest power plants in Chelyabinsk.

Shore pumping station ChTEZ-1 operated since 1942. As part of the reconstruction of replacement of obsolete electrical equipment. Installed automatic speed regulators and the pump motor, resulting in annual savings of electricity facility will be 30%.
As part of the modernization of existing equipment on ChTEZ-1 in 2011, is also planned reconstruction of the management and control systems of thermal mechanical equipment of boilers and turbines. All processes will be maximally automated, thus saving fuel — natural gas — up to 5% per year.
