The volume of cargo handling in the port of Makhachkala has grown by 12 percent

During 2012 the volume of cargo handling in Makhachkala sea trading port totaled 6044.5 thousand tons, which is 12.6% more than in 2011.

Of the total transshipment cargo ships totaled 770 thousand tons of liquid bulk cargo — 5275 tons. As RIA "Dagestan", the press service of the MCS, the main growth was due to increased volume of transshipment of crude oil (11.5%), grains (more than 2.5 times) and cement (about 10 times). In the types of cargo handled at the port are well established types of cargo such as cement in big bags, mineral soil, tile, granite.
