5.1-magnitude earthquake occurred in northern Afghanistan

Earthquake of magnitude 5.1 occurred on Tuesday in Kunduz province in northern Afghanistan, the website of the U.S. Geological Survey (USGS).

The epicenter of tremors recorded at 13.03 local time (12.33 MSK), located 33 kilometers south of the town of Khanabad and 205 kilometers north of the capital, Kabul. The earthquake lies at a depth of 33.5 kilometers.

Information on the possible destruction and injuries were reported.
