Company BAE Systems recently received a contract price of more than 20 million dollars to supply the Navy and the U.S. Coast Guard 2-57-mm gun mounts ship Mk110 Mod 0 and engineering support.
Ship gun mount designed for fifth patrol boat class NSC (National Security Cutter) U.S. Coast Guard and U.S. Navy Training Center in Dam Neck (Virginia,), where sailors are trained operation and maintenance.
Currently, 57-mm gun mount Mk110 join the armed patrol ships NSC class U.S. Coast Guard and Littoral Combat Ship (LCS) of the U.S. Navy. Artillery system is capable of shooting with a rate of up to 220 rounds per minute at a distance of 10.5 miles. It is one hundred percent with immediate automatic choice of the type of ammunition.
Supply 2-Mk110 is scheduled for December 2014 and includes additional engineering services for 3 years. Work will be performed in Louisville (Kentucky pcs), Minneapolis (Minnesota pcs) and Karlskoga (Sweden).
Now BAE Systems has released 19 Mk110 gun mounts for the Navy and the U.S. Coast Guard.
