Flooding in Serbia

Serbia, as well as neighboring Macedonia, is dominated by the torrential rains that poured non-stop for more than a day. During this time, the amount of precipitation was about 64 liters per m2. In the south, several rivers burst their banks, flooding the surrounding area. Several Serbian villages evacuated urgently.

Of large settlements biggest damage was the municipality of Bujanovac, where a state of emergency, but the city administration claims that Serbs who live there have nothing to fear, because a few days rescue teams deflate all the excess water from flooded houses and streets. In general, the flooded Serbian regions have the same difficulties as the neighboring Macedonians, that is, have problems with access to clean drinking water, the movement of the flooded roads.
