Gallup: Poor people are the most religious

Society
On average, 84% of adults in the world believe that religion is important in their daily lives.

So it follows from a survey conducted by the sociological service of the world, "Gallup" in 2009y in 114 countries. As in previous years, social scientists, "Gallup" poll by about 1,000 people in each country, respondents telefanuyuchy or holding meetings with them.

Also, as in previous years, "Gallup" found that there is a clear link between the level of prosperity of life in a country and the degree of religiosity of its inhabitants.

In the 10 poorest countries, with a gross domestic product (GDP) is below 5,000 dollars per person (Bangladesh, Niger, Coconut Palm, Indonesia, draw, Sri Lanka, Somalia, Djibouti, Mauritania, Burundi), an average of 98% of the population believes that Religion plays an important role in their lives.

This is the figure for the richest countries in which GDP per capita is more than 25 thousand dollars, equal to 47%.

But there are some notable exceptions to this rule.

In the United States, one of the most richest countries in the world, as much as 65% of the population recognizes the important role of religion in their lives.

Belarus has been in the top ten countries in which religion is tied to the relatively smallest value. In these countries not over one third of the inhabitants of the importance attached to religion in your life?
