In a landslide in western Nepal, killing seven people, 17 injured

Photo: www.saveplanet.suThe landslide caused the death of seven people in a mountainous area in western Nepal, and another 17 people were injured, said on Saturday AFP referring to the local police.
The landslide hit the village, covering nine homes. The incident occurred 280 kilometers west of Kathmandu, capital of Nepal, in the region, which is considered one of the poorest in the country.
"We were able to extract from the rubble bodies of six people — two men, two women and two children, and found the remains of another person", — quotes agency Message Inspector Kumar Nepal Police Bibeka Shi (Bibek Kumar Sha).
Every year in Nepal due to floods and landslides during the rainy season kill hundreds of people. Rainy season in the country from June to September.
