In Odessa, closed all the beaches

Odessa City sanepidemstantsii closed all the beaches of the city for fear that the sea could get harmful substances after a heavy downpour on Wednesday, said the Ukrainian news agency UNIAN chief medical officer Ivan Odessa Klementyev.

In a Wednesday afternoon downpour fell to Odessa, in which was flooded the city center. The consequences of the elements were quickly eliminated, though environmentalists said that the sea can get harmful substances, primarily of industrial origin.

"Water use is prohibited on all beaches for at least three days — until the results of new research experts samples of sea water," — said Klementyev.
