On Sunday, September 9, in the Kuril Islands, there were two earthquakes. The first impulse of magnitude 5.6 was recorded near the island Paramushir its epicenter was at a depth of 60 meters, 140 kilometers southwest of the North-Kurilsk. For more than ten seconds in the homes of local residents rang dishes, swinging chandeliers.
According to ITAR-TASS, the second earthquake of magnitude 5.3 occurred in the Kuril-Kamchatka Trench. Its epicenter was located 270 kilometers east of the city Kurilsk on Iturup Island, the center lies at a depth of 40 kilometers.
