Nearly a thousand hectares of forest burning in Siberia

Area of forest fires in Siberia over the weekend has more than doubled, and on Monday morning fire engulfed almost 1000 hectares, reports Siberian Center of MOE.

In the whole country, according to national GUMCHS, now has 21 on the control of forest fires on the area of 2.065 thousand hectares, including 1.781 thousand hectares of forest area.

In the Trans-Baikal region, according to regional GUMCHS, there were 14 fires in the area of 93.5 hectares, of which three localized fire in the area of 59 hectares traversed.

According to the Emergency Center of the Siberian, the main causes of the fires — the activity of the local population and agricultural burns.

On the elimination of existing centers in the district involved 845 people and 122 vehicles.

During the day, held 50 raids to detect cases of violations of fire safety in forests, made up three administrative protocol.

To limit access to the forests and monitor the situation put 511 posts, including 28 of them stationary.
