Unique in the Russian Naval Aviation 279th separate naval Fighter Aviation Regiment, based at the airfield Severomorsk-3 (Murmansk region), was at the end of two years after a major overhaul and return to the system of double training planes Su-25UTG. Aircraft of the regiment were repaired at the JSC "121st Aircraft Repair Plant" in Kubinka. Having also received a new color. The first Su-renovated 25UTG bearing the number "18 red" came to the regiment in the middle of November 2012, and the second (tail number "16 red") — apparently, on December 18.

Of the 13 built in 1990-1993 at the Ulan-Ude Aviation Plant serial Su-25UTG currently in the 279th Regiment left seven planes — machinery bearing the number "08", "11", "12", "14 "," 15 "," 16 "and" 18 ". Of these last two, as has been said, completed repairs to the 121-m ARZ Kubinka, and the plane bearing the number "14" is there for repairs.
