After creation of the reserve, work began on the restoration of the steppes, but we actually only this year can say that 50 hectares of steppe restore failed. As noted by the agency interlocutor, steppe restoration work laborious, manual and almost takes several years. The specialists can handle up to 5 hectares of steppes in the year.

To date, the only fully restored oak forest on the site of ambush regiment, which had a decisive influence on the victory of Russian troops over the forces of Mamaia September 8, 1380.
She said that people started to learn more Kulikovo in the 12-14 century, then began cutting the wood, later, in the 17-18 centuries the land plowed for agriculture, thus, by the early 20th century, with the entire field of the historic battle steppe disappeared.
Restoration of historic landscape began in 1996, with the creation of the reserve at this point.
According to the drilling, scientists managed by soil studies and historical evidence to establish the natural map Kulikovo field, indicating the location of the original forests, woods and grassland.
Natural museum "Kulikovo Field" was organized in 1996. It includes a set of branches in the Tula Region Museum and Exhibition Center "Tula antiquity", Museum of Russian merchants in the village of Epiphanius, museum and memorial Monastyrshchina village, a memorial on the Red Hill Kulikovo field.
In 2009, the presidential decree Museum "Kulikovo Field" is included in the public register of the most valuable objects of cultural heritage.
