Spain: Massive gulf coast on Rostra

February 23. Specialists municipality Sandater arrived in the area Rostra (Rostrio), to personally examine the resulting impressive precipice near the coast. "This area is full of large and small craters (soplaos), which according to experts, are the result of the dissolution of groundwater limestone cliffs at the back and on the surface there are the so-called funnel, round failures over time can be associated with the collapse of the surface material. These circular depressions, very symmetrical, very common in Cantabria and indicate surface karst processes that develop in depth "- the conclusion made by the researchers of geology.
