The composition of the dry cement mixture, which is kneaded in mortar for masonry walls, usually included as a filler sand. It should be dry and it requires the calculation of per cubic meter of material three times greater than the cement itself. In the gas purification systems for drying sand produces a lot of waste dust — the so-called dust entrainment. For example, the asphalt concrete plant manufacturing 300 tons of material per year, such dust is produced up to 10 tons per day. And what to do with this waste — no one knows.
Members recently held XIV Moscow International Salon of Inventions and Innovation Technologies "Archimedes" innovators of MGSU proposed to use the rest of the dry sand dust, adding a small amount of cement mixture of fullerenes or carbon nanotubes. Of course, their cost is very high, but compared (10 times higher) value with bentonite clay conventionally used in cement slurries to improve strength and frost. Sand dust is four times cheaper than sand, and its weight for the mixture to approximately the same as the very sand.
Research and calculations showed that the mortar with the aggregate of the dust, and the addition of fullerene get stronger and cheaper than cooked on a standard recipe, and can be successfully used for masonry structures of brick, concrete blocks and stones of lighter rocks.
