4.6-magnitude earthquake occurred in northern India

A small earthquake of magnitude 4.6 occurred on Monday, 300 kilometers northeast of the capital city of India, New Delhi, said the Indian Meteorological Department.
Light tremors were recorded in the mountainous area in Chamoli district (State of Uttarakhand) at 11.57 local time (10.27 MSK).
No injuries or damage were reported.
Border with China and Nepal Uttarakhand state refers to areas with the greatest seismic activity along the north-east of India, parts of Gujarat, Jammu and Kashmir, Bihar, Andaman and Nicobar Islands.
