Earthquake of magnitude 5.6 occurred on Tuesday in Chile to 655 kilometers north of the capital, Santiago, the website of the U.S. Geological Survey.
Quake was recorded at 13.03 to UTC (Coordinated Universal Time, 16.03 MSK). The epicenter was located 85 kilometers east of the city of Copiapo. Its center lies at a depth of 92.5 kilometers.
Information on casualties or damage were reported.
In late February of last year in Chile as a result of the earthquake and ensuing tsunami killed more than 500 people.
