Earthquake of magnitude 5.1 occurred in Greece

The earthquake occurred on Sunday morning in the east of Greece, according to the global monitoring of the U.S. Geological Survey (USGS).

According to him, the epicenter of the 5.1 magnitude quake was in the Aegean Sea, 92 kilometers southwest of Rhodes, and in 346 kilometers from Athens.

Earthquakes of this magnitude are generally not cause material damage due to more stringent construction standards used in Greece because of the constant seismic activity in the region.
