Floods in Japan

Heavy rains that began with the arrival of Typhoon Songda, Miyagi flooded and caused a nationwide landslides and floods, resulting in at least 13 people were killed and many were missing. At least 200 roads and about 19 bridges damaged by floods, according hotaccident.net

Element prevents the recovery efforts following the earthquake and tsunami in March 2011. Authorities in the north-east of Tokyo called for 400,000 people to flee their homes. Some areas received more than 54 mm of rain in just 12 hours. Currently, about 1,000 people are supporting the people in rescue operations.
