In northern Chile earthquake with magnitude 5.1

Earthquake of magnitude 5.1 occurred on Thursday the Atacama Desert in northern Chile, the website of the U.S. Geological Survey.

Quake was recorded at 02.12 to UTC (Coordinated Universal Time, 05.12 MSK). The epicenter was located 30 kilometers south-east of Copiapo. Its center lies at a depth of 64.9 kilometers. Information on casualties or damage were reported.

At the end of February 2010 in Chile as a result of the earthquake and ensuing tsunami killed more than 500 people.
