TBILISI, November 7. Corr. ITAR-TASS Tengiz Pachkoria. In some territories to the east of Georgia due to the unusually early and heavy snow paralyzed or restricted traffic on some highways. At the edges of the Shida Kartli and Mtskheta-Tianeti snow depth reached 35-50 cm, led to a complete or partial cessation of movement at several local courses.
As the representatives of the regional authorities, the traffic services have been working to clean up traces of snowdrifts.
Heavy snow hampered the movement and Rikotskom Pass, where the central highway connecting the east and west Georgia. The authorities of the country today on television and radio urged drivers to refrain from moving until the morning to pass this and other snow-covered roads, unless it is absolutely necessary.
Heavy snow fell today and in the outskirts of Tbilisi.
