6.07.11.Lesa Southern Urals attacked hordes of gypsy moth caterpillars. As reported «URA.Ru» in the main forest management Chelyabinsk region, pockets of this insect are observed in the area of 285.2 hectares in the birch forest steppe and steppe zones. The last time such an outbreak was reported in 1953.
"For works on localization and liquidation of the gypsy moth outbreaks in the Chelyabinsk region was necessary (and approved by FSI" Roslesozaschita ") 88 million. Yet federal funds have not been allocated. From the regional budget, we have received 10 million rubles. Thus, instead of the planned 95.26 hectares to process only 9.2 hectares in the forest reserve Argayashsky, Chebarkulsky and Sosnowski areas.

With such catastrophic underfunding main forest management done everything possible to reduce the damage from pests, "- said Deputy Chief Minister Viktor Blinov.

Officer recommends gardeners control pests on their own.
