In the Leningrad region is de-energized 54 settlements


26.01.11.V Wednesday in the Leningrad region left without electricity 54 settlements with a population of over two thousand people. It is reported with reference to the BIA Regional Office of Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia.

Outages in transformer substations were recorded in eight districts of the region: the Luga, Vyborg, Gatchina, Boksitogorsky, Kingisepp, Lodeinopolsky, Volkhov and Slantsy.

In Luga region disruptions to energy supply observed in 20 towns with a population of 682, in Vyborg — in 6 villages, home to 724 persons.

Total off five lines with a capacity of 6-10 kV, 143 transformer substations. Shutdown affected 54 communities with a population of 2103 people. Reasons blackout were not disclosed.

In the emergency and recovery operation involved 25 emergency personnel and 25 vehicles of JSC "Lenenergo" and eight operational teams and eight vehicles municipalities. Work will be completed today to approximately 17.00.
