Magnitude 5 earthquake occurred on Wednesday in the Japanese capital. No injuries or damage were reported. National Directorate of Meteorology has not announced a tsunami threat.
The epicenter was located in the Pacific Ocean south of the Boso Peninsula (Chiba Prefecture), and the focus lies at a depth of about 100 kilometers.
Earthquakes have been recorded in the prefectures of Chiba, Kanagawa, Shizuoka, Ibaraki, Gunma, Saitama, Yamanashi, Nagano, in all parts of Tokyo and its suburbs.
Sufficiently strong tremors also felt in the capital representation ITAR-TASS news agency reported.
Since the beginning of the current day is the fourth earthquake of magnitude above 4 on the Pacific coast of the main Japanese island of Honshu.
