Japan shakes againAn earthquake measuring 4.4 occurred today in southern Japan. According to the National Meteorological Administration, tsunami threat arose. Information on casualties or damage were reported.

The epicenter was located in the sea near the south-western coast of Kyushu, the ITAR-TASS news agency.

The Japanese archipelago is located on the junction of four tectonic plates. Every year there are up to 20 percent of the seating on the earth quake of magnitude 6.0 and above.
