NATO helicopter NH-90

MO Norway has adopted the first version of ASW helicopter NH90 NFH.
On the approach of another thirteen helicopters to find and defeat the enemy submarines.
To replace the obsolete helicopters «Westland Lynx» get new helicopters NH90, assigned to the air base Bardufoss.

History of creation.
Work on the creation of the helicopter began in 1986. The helicopter was created in the framework of programs from NATO. It was developed with the role of France, Britain, Germany, Italy and the Netherlands. First, in 1987 Britain refuses to share the role in the drafting of a helicopter in favor of a joint project with Italy EH-101 helicopter.

Layouts helicopter.

Designed for ship-based option NFH (NATO Fregat Helicopter), to the task of finding and destroying submarines and surface ships. The helicopter is capable of producing guidance guided missiles beyond the horizon "surface-to-surface". Additional features — search and rescue operations, delivery of goods to the place of deployment.

From the beginning it was planned to make about 730 machines of this series helicopter. By the mid-'96 release by the alleged helicopter is reduced to 650 cars.
