In the eastern part of China, Hebei Province, in the course of excavations, archaeologists found more than two thousand Buddha images, according to Chinese media.

Buddha statues and fragments thereof, in an amount of 2 895 statues have been found in the county Linchzhan and refer to the period of the existence of Eastern Wei and Northern Qi (534-577gody).

The official representative of the Institute of Archaeology of the Academy of Social Sciences of China and the Institute of Cultural Heritage, Hebei Province said that the Buddha statue made of white marble and blue stone. There are instances, covered with gold.

Size valuable finds ranging from 20 cm to 1.5 — 2 meters. Archaeologists and conservators are currently involved in the restoration of the rare finds.
