CBC — laboratory test which involves counting all types of blood cells (erythrocytes, leukocytes, platelets), determination of parameters (cell size, etc.), differential blood count, measurement of hemoglobin, determination of the ratio of cell mass to plasma (hematocrit ).

What are the indications for blood count?

Complete blood count is conducted in most diseases and preventive examinations.

What do the indicators of the general blood test?

  1. Hemoglobin (HGB) — carries oxygen from the lungs to the tissues and organs of the body. Low hemoglobin indicates anemia (anemia).
  2. Red blood cells (RBC, «red blood cell") — the elements of blood containing hemoglobin. Reducing the number of red blood cells tells about anemia (anemia).
  3. Color index is the saturation exponent erythrocyte hemoglobin.
  4. Reticulocytes — young forms of red blood cells.
  5. Platelets (PLT) — are involved in blood clotting. The decrease in platelet count indicative of poor blood clotting. Natural decrease in platelet counts observed during menstruation and pregnancy, and the increase — after exercise.
  6. ESR — erythrocyte sedimentation rate. Image ESR indicates inflammation, infection or acute intoxication.
  7. White blood cells (WBC, «white blood cells") — are responsible for the neutralization and cell-mediated immunity against viruses and bacteria. Image leukocyte — sign of inflammation.
  8. Stab (H / I) neutrophils.
  9. Segmented (s / s) neutrophils.
  10. Eosinophils (Eosinophilic granulocytes) — a kind of white blood cells. The increase in the percentage of eosinophils may be indicative of allergic diseases, the presence of worms.
  11. Basophils (Basophilic granulocytes) — a kind of white blood cells.
  12. Lymphocytes — immune cells, a variety of leukocytes. Responsible for acquired immunity.
  13. Monocytes — large mononuclear leukocytes.

What kind of training is needed to study?

The analysis gives up in the morning, on an empty stomach. Not permitted for 8 hours (preferably 12) to deposit food intake analyzes, including, juice, tea, coffee, alcohol. You can drink plain water.

What are the dates of performance analysis?

1 day.
