VLADIVOSTOK, January 18. / Correspondent. ITAR-TASS Marina Shatilova /. Targeted program of seismic safety adopted in Primorye. Today, it was approved by Governor Sergei Darkin.

As told Itar-Tass, the press center of the regional administration, the program will be implemented in three stages — from 2011 to 2017. It provides for a system for monitoring and control of seismic reliability of objects, creation and development of geographic information system for the analysis, management and control of seismic risk.

At the first stage it is planned to carry out large-scale studies of seismicity in southern Primorye, where the largest cities, to conduct a survey and certification of seismic safety and reliability of buildings and structures, including — residential buildings. Then, based on the data obtained, will be developed urban activities with the use of new technologies and systems for seismic protection of buildings.

From 1867 to 2007, the territory of Primorye was recorded more than 250 aftershocks of varying intensity. Vosmiballnyh earthquakes were three, seven-point — eight, a six — seven. That is, one earthquake of magnitude 7 or more points occurred in Primorye on average every 13 years. Thus, in 1938, the island was registered Russian push magnitude 7, the same in 1955 occurred 30 kilometers from Vladivostok. Vosmiballnye earthquakes occurred in 1962 near the town of guerrilla and 1971 near Nakhodka. All earthquakes occur on a sparsely populated area in years, and of no appreciable harm, but now in these areas is the construction of housing and industrial facilities.

According to the map of general seismic zoning of the Russian Federation in the Primorsky Territory 14 settlements today are located in areas with a 7 — point scale seismicity, whose consideration is required for the whole building. For objects of the social responsibilities of the number of places the region, where a regulatory accounting seismicity 7 points up to 21.
