Food industry increases production of suburbs

According to acting Minister of Agriculture and Food, Moscow region Tatyana Tikhonova, large and medium-sized enterprises and food processing industry Moscow region in the I quarter of 2013 the growth of production volume increased by 7.2% compared to the same period last year and shipped production and the amount of 87, 1 billion rubles.


"The positive dynamics of development of the food processing industry defined by the fact that they are actively working on the introduction of new products, development of the production of consumer favorite food, work is underway to modernize the material-technical base of production", — said T.Tihonova.

Thus, the volume of meat and meat products for the I quarter of 2013 was 55.6 million tons, a 12.6% increase in output in the I quarter of 2012, reported the provincial Agriculture Ministry.

The volume of production of cream for the I quarter of 2013 compared to the same period in 2012 increased by 6.3%, cottage cheese — by 35.5%, the mass of curd — by 19.9%, and condensed milk — by 86.3%, sour — by 49.5%. Overall, near Moscow enterprises produced 83.0 thousand tons of dairy products (milk equivalent).

Active demand from the population suburbs began to enjoy the vegetables peeled and frozen products. In connection with this increase in production of processed and preserved potatoes rose by 50.3%, and frozen fruits and vegetables by 33.3%.

Do not slow down the pace of production and bakeries in the region. Reconstruction of the production and manufacture of new types of products allowed to increase production by 23.9%.

The high rate of production notes from the producers of confectionery. Cookies, gingerbread gingerbread and the like, sweet biscuits, waffles regional enterprises produced 35.7% more than in the corresponding period last year, cocoa, chocolate and sugar confectionery products — by 20.2%.
