Temperatures down to minus 42 degrees are expected in the north-east of the Tomsk region, from 29 November to 3 December, in connection with the lifeguards are warning residents about the failure of a fuel and energy and utilities, said Wednesday regional GUMCHS.
"According to the Hydrometeorological Tomsk, from 29 November to 3 December, on the north-east region is expected abnormally cold weather: air temperature at night — minus 32-37 degrees on some days of the period — minus 37-42 degrees," — said in a statement.
In connection with this agency warned of the possibility of emergencies caused by damage to power and communication lines, accidents at Energy & Utilities, disturbances in transport and an increase in the number of accidents.
In turn, the representative of the Tomsk meteorologist told RIA Novosti that the expected air temperature "is not something abnormal" for the north of the Tomsk region.
Earlier, the Russian Hydrometeorological Center reported that in many regions of Siberia, including in the Tomsk region, in the last days of November and early December is expected to abnormally cold weather — temperatures in some areas will fall below 30 degrees Celsius.
On Wednesday, the air temperature in Tomsk fell to minus 30 degrees.
