Hundreds of people evacuated because of wildfires in Texas and Oklahoma

Several hundred people have fled their homes because of severe forest fires raging in the U.S. states of Texas and Oklahoma. According to ITAR-TASS, now fire covered about 1,500 acres of forest. More than 7000 homes were left without electricity due to the fact that the fire destroyed the power lines. As a result, fires hit four people, including two firefighters.

Forest fires contributed to record heat, all summer standing in the central regions of the country. Thermometer in Texas and Oklahoma for several months, rarely drop below 40 degrees. The current forest fires — not the first this year.

In April, thousands of hectares of forest burned in Texas, and in late May, fires burned in Arizona.
