Ibiza rages largest ever wildfire

On the Spanish resort island of Ibiza, part of the Balearic Islands archipelago in the Mediterranean Sea, the second day of a raging forest fire. In the last 24 hours there has burned 2,000 acres of forest.
In addition, local authorities, fearing that the fire spread to residential and resort, 200 residents were evacuated and closed the school and one of the hotels in which there were about 700 tourists.
According to ITAR-TASS, despite the best efforts of 250 firefighters, the fire continues to spread forest on the island and in some areas is already out to sea.
Spanish defense minister Carme Chacon Pikeras announced that it will be directed to Ibiza for another 150 firefighters.
As the chairman of the Balearic Islands Government Francesc Antich, a fire in Ibiza is the largest in the history of this island.
