Kinneret: to the top of the red line in less than three meters

Over the next three days during the rainy season (from March 15) the level of the Kinneret rose by 12 centimeters. At the moment the water table of the largest freshwater pool in Israel stands at 211 meters and 76 centimeters below sea level.

This means that before the so-called upper "red line", it remains to two meters and 96 centimeters. The last time overruns Kinneret there in the rainy season 1991-92, when the dam was opened at Kibbutz Degania, limiting the flow of water from the lake to the river Jordan.
