Mass lead poisoning in China’s Zhejiang province


BEIJING, June 12 — RIA Novosti, Vasily Kashin. More than 600 people, including 103 children, were unhealthy dose of lead due to the violation of tin foil technology in enterprises in China's Zhejiang province, Xinhua News Agency reported.

Dangerous levels of lead found in the blood of workers workshops manufacturing tin foil and their families in the county town Yansyuntsyao Shaoxing, Zhejiang Province. In this case, 26 adults and 103 children received serious lead poisoning is 494 adults — average lead poisoning.

Yansyuntsyao specializes in the production and processing of tin foil and its products. It employs more than 200 small workshops located in the town itself and its surroundings. These enterprises employ more than 2.5 thousand migrant workers, mainly from the poorer provinces of Yunnan and Sichuan. Poisoning were 25 employees located in Yansyuntsyao workshops.

At present the work of these companies stopped being investigated.
