Company Northrop Grumman with the U.S. Navy tested a wireless control system decked drone X-47B. According to a press release, the tests were on land and found to be successful.
The portable system has received the title of CDU (Control Display Unit) and one hundred percent is in control of the accelerator and the control mechanism of the UAV when driving on the ship deck. CDU plan to use as after landing UAV, and in preparing it for takeoff.
As noted in a press release earlier X-47B had to roll out of the hangar to catapult using a tractor. Previously, it was also reported that control the movement of the UAV will be using a computer mouse.
X-47B drone created by technology and resettled stealth jet engine. First flying machine made in February 2011. According to Northrop Grumman, tests on takeoff and landing X-47B on the deck of an aircraft carrier will be held in 2013.
Take the machine into service planned for 2018. Use the X-47B will be the U.S. Navy for reconnaissance and for strike operations. Namely, the UAV will receive a guided missile.
