What is it?

Incorrect posture — it is a symptom that characterizes the group of diseases that manifest curvature of the spine.

Normally spine has some moderate bends for better shock absorption. This is the so-called physiological curves. These include cervical and lumbar lordosis (bending forward) and thoracic kyphosis (bending backwards).

For each type of incorrect posture characteristic of his position of the spine, shoulders, pelvis and lower extremities. Saving abnormal posture made possible by a certain state of the ligaments and muscles. The deviation of the spine to the side — scoliosis. Inanteroposterior direction — stoop, round back, kruglovognutaya back, flat back, a plano-spin.

Why did this happen?

The causes of spinal curvature can be either congenital or acquired.

The birth of reasons curvature of the spine include violations of fetal development, leading to underdevelopment of vertebrae, wedge formation and additional vertebrae and other pathologies.

Acquired causes curvature of the spine can be disease (rickets, polio, tuberculosis, pleurisy, sciatica) and trauma (fractures of the spine). Wrong position of the body due to other diseases (one-sided paralysis, systemic connective tissue disease, flat feet, different length legs, or the absence of one of them, strabismus, or short-sightedness because of which a person is forced to take a wrong posture at work) also lead to curvature of the spine.

Incorrect posture may be the result of the professional activity of the person, svazannoy with length of stay in the same position (working at a desk with a permanently tilted his head, just incorrect posture in the chair, a familiar incorrect posture). It should be noted that a violation of postural muscle pull is uneven, leading to greater curvature of the spine.

Types of violations of posture

Slouch — Violation of posture based on the increase in thoracic kyphosis with a simultaneous decrease in lumbar lordosis. In this case, the shoulder girdle raised, shoulder joints are. Stoop is often combined with winged shoulders when the lower corners or inside edges of the blades are issued strongly overchest wall.

Kyphosis— Violation of posture associated with a significantly increased thoracic kyphosis and lumbar lordosis absence. This shifts the center of gravity of the body. To keep the balance, a person has to stand and walk on slightly bent legs. Pelvic tilt angle is reduced. Head bowed, shoulder girdle raised, shoulder joints are, chest sinks, hands hang down slightly ahead of the torso. Round back often combined with winged shoulders. Stomach protrude.

Kruglovognutaya back— Incorrect posture, due to an increase of the physiological curves of the spine. Legs slightly bent, or, conversely, pererazognuty knees. Belly favors, or even hanging. Upper arm raised, the shoulder joints are, my head is pushed forward from the midline of the body. Kruglovognutaya back often combined with winged shoulders.

Flat back— Incorrect posture, characterized by a decrease of all curves of the spine, in the first place — the lumbar lordosis and pelvic tilt angle decreases. The thorax is shifted forward. The lower part of the abdomen will survive. It is a violation of posture is especially frustrating because when running, jumping and other axial load pulse is not amortized and is transmitted to the base of the skull, and, further, to the brain.

Plano back— Incorrect posture, which consists in the reduction of thoracic kyphosis in normal or increased lumbar lordosis. Cervical lordosis is often too flattened. The pelvis is displaced posteriorly. The legs can be slightly bent at the knees or pererazognuty. Often combined with winged shoulders.

Identify violation posture and helps determine its type podiatrist. The diagnosis is made during the normal inspection for verification of its use of radiography of the spine.

Treatment involves physical therapy, massage therapy, acupuncture, therapeutic massage, the use of special braces. The treatment and adherence are incorrect posture.
