Nearly 1.5 billion rubles spent in Russia in 2012 to overcome the radiation accident last-MES

Nearly 1.5 billion rubles allocated in 2012 for funding under the federal target program "Overcoming the consequences of radiation accidents until 2015," according to the Russian Emergencies Ministry.

The aim of the program is to ensure the necessary conditions for safe living and farming in the contaminated areas, the completion of works to combat the effects of radiation accidents at the federal level, the creation of methodological, technical and institutional capacity to transmit further the problems associated with the contaminated area to the regional level .

Total funding for the Federal Program in 2011-2015 will amount to 9.28 billion rubles, including at the expense of the federal budget — 8.36 billion rubles.

"In the framework of the federal target program" Overcoming the effects of radiation accidents for the period up to 2015 "in 2012, funding amounted to 1.396 billion rubles," — said in a State Report Office.

According to rescue workers, in particular, commissioned and reconstructed 14 objects in the Altai region, Bryansk, Kaluga, Orel, Tula, Kurgan and Chelyabinsk regions, including ten 10 objects gas and heating a total length of 53 kilometers and four — water supply and wastewater of almost 46 kilometers. Prototypes were created as a portable spectrometer complex and individual monitoring controls ionizing radiation.
