The Russian government has allocated the first tranche of budget funds in the amount of 50 billion rubles for the co-financing program for the construction of kindergartens in the region. This was announced by the Prime Minister of Russia Dmitry Medvedev, speaking at a meeting of the government commission on protection of public health.
"The decision to start funding the program of construction of kindergartens in the region, to the extent to which we have not yet begun to fund — said Medvedev. — I remind you that the solution must come in three areas: Existing regions, new forms of children's pre-school institutions, including non-state, and joint projects to build kindergartens. "
The prime added, "I'm almost with a huge number of governors talked about this, almost all of them believe that they need additional support to meet this challenge." The Prime Minister is due to the fact that "unfortunately, over the period of the nineties kindergartens, as institutions, degraded, their total number has decreased, do not do that, the fund childcare facilities and afterwards we were selling a special emphasis on this, we program, not by works. "
"Therefore, these joint construction projects must be the lever by which we can solve this problem as a whole", — said the prime minister. Medvedev stressed that, in general, you need to get the order of 1 million 200 thousand places in pre-school institutions.
"I have decided on the allocation of the first tranche in the amount of 50 billion rubles from the budget — said Medvedev. — Money decent, but overall, the program for three years, the sums will be significant, they are measured in hundreds of billions." Head of the Cabinet expressed the hope that "these funds will help to solve this problem and will be a real incentive for the region."
