Two earthquakes of 5.5 and 4.2 in New Zealand


14.01.2011, Wellington 5:40:13 Just two earthquakes occurred on the east coast of the North Island of New Zealand.

The first and most powerful magnitude 5.5 was recorded at night the New Zealand Institute of Geological and Nuclear Physics, with its epicenter 160 km from g.Ruatoriya near Tokomaru Bay.

The second and weaker occurred in the early morning. Its magnitude was 4.2. The epicenter was just 10 miles from g.Gizborn at a depth of 30 km. Data is not damaged or destroyed, the "Xinhua".
