The lack of global monitoring system of astronomical not to track all the asteroids approaching the Earth.
This was reported by head of the department of space astrometry Institute of Astronomy Lydia Rykhlova. According to her, "The Earth is not immune from the asteroid hazard." In this Rykhlova stressed that "there is no reason to panic about the approach to our planet in the asteroid on Friday night at a record low in astronomical terms distance of 43 thousand kilometers."
Potentially dangerous are all cosmic bodies, which migrate from the periphery of the solar system and approach the Earth less than 7,000,000 km.
On the eve of NASA experts reported finding an asteroid with a diameter of about 30 m, which is 3.08 MSK March 19, approaches the Earth at a record low distance — 43 thousand km, ITAR-TASS reported.
