February 1, 2013. These pictures eastern Queensland near Rockhampton made January 17 (top) and 30 January (bottom). The left is a pool of the Mackenzie, right? Fitzroy River.

The upper image is almost completely dried up river bed barely traceable fine wavy line. Then two weeks later, as they were brought NASA satellite large eyes filled with life-giving water of river arteries.

Massive floods have killed four people and forced thousands to flee their homes. In two Australian states disrupted road and rail links, interrupted by coal mining. Some local airfields flooded, making it difficult to rescue. Coal galleries are filled with water.

Most affected surroundings of Bundaberg, Rockhampton and Ipswich in Queensland and Grafton and Lismore in northern New South Wales.
