Booster Boom into orbit remote sensing satellite Kondor-E

Today, from the Baikonur Cosmodrome, a pad 175/59 at 20:53 MSK started by conversion booster "Boom" satellite remote sensing of the earth "Condor-E."

Small Spacecraft (ICA) "Condor-E" with a synthetic aperture radar (SAR) is designed to receive, store, and transmit to ground stations for receiving and processing of high resolution of remote sensing (RS) in the microwave range of the electromagnetic spectrum.

SC mass 1150 kg, the data rate up to 350 Mbit / c, active lifetime of 5 years.

The composition of the ICA "Kondor-E" with PCA:

— Propulsion,

— Thermal regulation system,

— A system of generating electricity,

• synthetic aperture radar.

 

Boom — Two-stage liquid rocket easy class, designed in Mechanical Engineering NGO based intercontinental ballistic missile RS-18 (UR-100N).

Also on the basis of the IDB developed booster — "Roar".

The main difference between PH "Arrows" and of PH "rumble" — minimize the volatility of rocket design and the launch facility. The role of the booster unit performs independently targetable warheads on target RS-18 missiles.

"Boom" is equipped with the new fairing and a larger volume of modified software management system. The fuel is unsymmetrical dimethylhydrazine (UDMH) and nitrogen tetroxide (AT).

Launch mass of 105 tons, the payload — up to 1.7 tonnes. "Arrow" will start directly from the silo.
