Dashigu settlement relating to the first half of the second millennium BC, found on the outskirts of the city of Zhengzhou, capital of Henan province, according to Interfax-Ukraine.

From March 2002 to December 2003 excavations were carried out on the hill Manshan their area reached 540 square meters, the total area of the town is Dashigu — 510 thousand square meters.

Found settlement had a rectangular shape, it is not enclosed by a renovated in the ancient wall of mud brick. The settlement is also surrounded by a moat, the depth of which reaches up to 3 meters.

On yet unexplored part of the settlement, according to Wang Wenhua, may be relatively large building.

Discovered the foundations of buildings, graves, ash pits and pieces of ceramics can be attributed to the settlement Dashigu middle and late stages of existence Erlitou culture.

Chinese archaeologists are inclined to attribute this culture to the era of the legendary Chinese Xia Dynasty (2140 — 1711 years BC).
