Sugar production in Ukraine grew by 41.8%


Sugar production in Ukraine as of November 28 has increased by nearly 42% compared to the volume of the same date in 2010

Thus, the sugar factories of Ukraine by a specified date in 2011 produced 2.07 million tons of sugar, which is 41.8% more compared to the same date last year. This was reported by Interfax-Ukraine, citing figures from the National Association of Sugar Ukrtsukor.

This year the plants are taken for processing 17 million tons of beets were processed 15.56 million tons.

Recall Agriculture Ministry predicted that this season Ukraine will produce 2.1-2.2 million tons of beet sugar against 1.54 million tonnes last season. The annual demand for Ukrainian sugar market is estimated at 1.8-2 million tons.
