Fishermen and fish processing companies in the region from the regional byudzhetV regional government held a press conference on the results of the first phase of the regional program "Development of coastal fisheries in the Kaliningrad Region for 2013-2020".
Deputy chairman of the regional government of Konstantin Suslov and head of the Agency for Fisheries and the Fisheries Industry Development Region Sergei Yershov together with representatives of fishing and processing companies responded to reporters' questions.
Konstantin Suslov said that in 2012 at the request of Governor Nicholas Cukanova was developed regional target program "Development of coastal fisheries in the Kaliningrad Region for 2013-2020". The regional budget allocated for its implementation 336 million rubles. Total funding for the program in 2013 was 50.5 million
"The program involves the development of coastal fishing subsidizing part of the cost of paying interest on loans, construction and modernization of the fishing fleet, coastal infrastructure, subsidies for the reimbursement of the cost of fuel and lubricants", — said Sergey Yershov, explaining at the same time that subsidy is payable quarterly on the actual costs incurred. As a result of the filing of the first companies in the region of 14 applications were submitted and selected subsidies amounted to more than 26 million rubles.
According to the head of the agency for the development of fisheries and fishing industry, with workers in the industry, thanks to the dedicated funds from the regional budget, there was a confidence in the development of fisheries and incentive to promote companies. This was confirmed by the representatives themselves fishing and processing companies that have expressed gratitude to the government of the region for the attention and active support. Businesses were subsidized construction of workshops freezing, modernization of vessels, the costs of fuel.
"Thanks to the action of the program, we expect to significantly increase the number of jobs in the industry. Students studying on-line fishing industry, we can provide not only practice, but also in the future — the work ", — said Sergey Yershov. Prior to 2016 the number of employees fishing and processing companies in the region will increase by at least 300 people. "Young people will find a use on small vessels and those plants that will be built in the region. It all depends on the material remuneration and working conditions — targeted program will modernize production, "- said Sergey Yershov confidence.
Regional authorities also expressed their hope for the state program "Development of the Fisheries Industry", which will be implemented from 2013 to 2020. "Sectoral federal program passed all of the hearing, and is now being finalized. For its implementation laid down federal funds, including funding for our programs, we are justified.
