Pakistan and China have signed an agreement on strengthening military cooperation

Pakistan and China signed an agreement to build two-way interaction in the sphere of defense. The document was signed during a visit to the capital of the Pakistani delegation of representatives of the Ministry of Defense of China, led by Deputy Chief of General Staff of the People's Liberation Army (PLA), Colonel-General Ma Xiaotian. It is reported by ITAR-TASS referring to the press service of the army of Pakistan.

As it became clear the new enclosed Pakistani-Chinese agreement on cooperation in the sphere of defense anticipates the forthcoming build-up rates of exchange of delegations of military professionals, defense officials, military and intelligence agencies. In addition, it provides for a boost in the upcoming supply various kinds of Chinese products in the defense Pakistan, also increase bilateral exchanges of intelligence, including on issues of regional and international terrorism.

China is a major political, trade, economic and military partners in Pakistan. Islamabad and Beijing are closely cooperation in the defense field and show identical positions on the main issues of regional and international security.

At the current time China and Pakistan successfully implement a series of bilateral defense projects, including the joint development of multi-purpose Chinese fighter jet JF-17.
